Celebration Tree Grove Vandalized; Thousands in Damages Estimated

Celebration Tree Grove is a tranquil, uplifting space on the northeast edge of White Rock Lake Park dedicated to honoring, remembering, and celebrating Lake Lovers of the past, present and future. Over the last few weeks, the stone structures that anchor Celebration Tree Grove have been defaced and commemorative bronze plaques stolen from the site. In 1996, Jean Andresen had no way of knowing that a suggestion made at a volunteer meeting of the newly formed group, For the Love of the Lake, would evolve into 26+ years of volunteer service with the organization.
