For the Love of the Lake is partnering with the 2024 BMW Dallas Marathon to place course monitors along the race route. Course monitors play an important role during the race. Volunteers are stationed at crucial points along the race course to help direct and cheer on runners, ensuring they do not leave the official race route. More information about course monitor responsibilities and how to register can be found below.
Interested volunteers can register to join the course monitor team here.
Volunteers should be able to stand or sit (okay to bring a chair) for long periods. The minimum age for this role is 18. (If you are under the age of 18, we require adult supervision).
- We do not fill course monitor spots in Highland Park.
- We will open the FTOLTL office for t-shirt and packet pick up, Friday Evening, Saturday, and Sunday prior to the race.
- If you have a preferred spot along the route or a person you would like to partner with please let us know – we will do our best to accommodate all requests!
